Residencies and Workshops for Bric Arts Media

Bric Arts Media is the largest provider of free cultural programming for the borough of Brooklyn.

BRIC Teaching Artists implement student-centered arts residencies, using arts and media to build skills and increase student learning, engaging students through creative projects and lessons relevant to their academic studies, needs and learning styles. BRIC currently works in over 40 schools serving over 4,000 students. In addition to school residencies, BRIC Teaching Artists also facilitate professional development workshops, media studio workshops, and family activities.

Being a teaching artist for them means, I have the chance to work with students who don't have an immense amount of exposure to the arts and I get the opportunity to adapt my pedagogy to fit their needs and watch them explore
